| | How can I avoid incurring interest?
If you have any interest free promotional purchases on your account, just remember to pay them off in full by the expiry date of the promotional plan. Interest is charged on the unpaid balance that remains on your account from when the promotional period has ended1. If you have an interest free promotion that requires you to make a minimum monthly payment, you need to pay more than the minimum each month or pay a lump sum to avoid interest. You also get up to 62 days interest free on MasterCard purchases. Just pay your account off in full (other than the unexpired interest free promotional purchases) by the due date every month to take advantage of this benefit.
Remember that interest is charged from the day of a cash advance so to reduce the amount of interest on this transaction, you need to pay off the balance as soon as you can.
1Does not include Instalment Interest Bearing Promotions, where interest is charged. See Interest free finance options.

| | | How do I avoid incurring a late fee on my account?
To avoid incurring an late fee, please ensure that GE Money receives at least your minimum monthly payment by the due date shown on your statement.
You can put a direct debit in place to ensure your minimum monthly payments are made on time automatically. Contact us to arrange this. (Be aware, though, that making minimum monthly payments only means you will have to pay interest on the balance; to avoid interest charges you will have to pay the total amount payable by the due date.)
